i have to to admit when iphones first came out i was not one of those people that rushed out to get one. in fact, i thought they sucked. one of my good friends at the time bought out almost immediately. he was in love with his, he even went as far as giving it a name.. that he used on a regular basis. i made fun of him constantly for the way he went on about his new love. he was always saying how he had to update it and that the battery didnt last long.. i couldnt understand why anyone would want a phone that dies so quickly or needs constant updates.

last summer another friend of my was absolutely thrilled when they were coming out with a new version or some shit. to be honest, i dont know if it was a new version or just new to the phone company he was with. either way, he was beside himself with joy. im pretty sure if his wife would have let him he would have camped outside the shop to be first in line. however, she was on the same page as me.. the ‘who gives a fuck’ page that is, lol. as soon as he got his iphone it was all i heard about. it got old, fast. im not a mac chick. i thought they sucked. why would the phones be any better?

a few months ago he got an iphone. he couldnt put it down. i would literally have to be like.. “hey, put it down and talk to me!” lol. seriously, he would zone out and become some sort of iphone zombie. he was like a kid on christmas morning with his new toy. i hated the phone, lol. i was in constant competition against an iphone for his attention. it was only at this moment that i even flirted with the idea of getting one myself. at least then we could zone out together on it, lol.

i didnt get one at first. i wasnt even planning on getting a new phone at all. then mine broke. it literally bounced from my chair to the wet floor of the shower. thats cause my ma let go of it before it was in my hand. from that point it was temperamental and wouldnt make noises or let me make calls.. i couldnt even send texts. then after it finally started working, it wouldnt go idle. my battery would die after 20 minutes. i had to get a new one, i didnt really have a choice at this point.

i decided that i would finally take that leap into nerdville and get myself an iphone. well, i fucking love it, lol. i dont know why in the world i was so opposed to them before. it was my turn to become the iphone zombie.. and i did! i love this phone. it does everything! its even made it cheaper for him and me to keep in touch during the day, which is incredible all on its own accord. im addicted to mafia live. i may have even said that in another post, i cant remember.. but add me (144 355 436) if you want. seriously, i love my phone. im part of the ubernerd elite, now. im pretty sure that every day i find something new i can do with it.

today i made a great discovery with it. i was in the car with her, running a couple errands for her. we started chatting about music and i was telling her that if i could id just throw my phone on shuffle (another thing i love about my phone, instant music anywhere!). i used to have an ipod nano and while driving one time we tried to connect the nano to the car adapter for the cd player we used to use. to our dismay, it didnt work. so, while we were talking about it this time i thought id try it again cause who knows, right? after about ten minutes of searching for the adapter, we found it. fingers crossed we plugged it all in and put the tape in.. MUSIC! it fucking worked. i gotta tell you, this was the best discovery i could have made, lol. this time it was christmas morning for us. so, i apologize for all the bad things i said about ipods and iphones and all that jazz. i was wrong, they all rock. but my phone rocks the most. ;p

iphones aside, my reading is comin along nicely. im really glad i picked this book up. to be honest, im happy he suggested reading something that would help me in the long run because i probably wouldnt have thought of it myself. today, i also made a card for my ma today since mothers day is comin up and i did a little more work on my art piece. not too much tho, i plan on working on it a lot more tomorrow. i really cant wait to see it done. im also working on a three canvas piece for him for above his fireplace. well, i havent started it yet, but i have a good picture in my head of what id like it to look like. so, that will either be my next piece or the one after cause i have a few ideas rollin around in my head for other pieces as well. i need to start working on my stationary, too.. and crocheting. lol, the list never ends!!
